January... 2012 Evergreens....
As we now approach the beginning of a new year. we are looking to planting Evergreens in the border, to add structure, and height ...ie, Mahonia,s Viburnum Tinus, Skimmia Reevesiana, and Sarcococca Humilis.... All which flower in the dark months to give colour... Also why not plant winter flowering heathers, which will tolerate the limey soils that we mostly seem to have.
